The last few days have been really fun! I arrived in my home town on Sunday with a very warm welcome from many different people! It has been hard adjusting to another culture such as here everyone is always together and it is different in America, and also the dogs dont stay in the house, so I miss my lukey and brady. I miss my family so much and the comfort of my own home, but I am excited to adjust to this culture as well. I cant wait to go to school and meet a group of people that I can go out with and they can show me around my town and such! I think that the language will become easier in school too because some people will be able to help me translate ! I really love my family, they are so nice and go out of their way to make sure I am having a good time! They always ask how my day was and understand the language barrier and its something you kind of just laugh about together because it is hard at times when all day you have too speak a different language and at the end of the day you crave English!!!! Yesterday I called everyone in my family and I finally could just naturally talk, and not have to think double in two languages, and those type of things just help you realize that your not alone, and there's people willing to help you, also my friends with AFS are going through the same thing! I went into the city yesterday to the big store almost like Macy's and got some things for school, and some other things ! We went to the supermercado to buy some food that I am cooking for my family here and Pedro's family before he goes on vacation! I am going to make sloppy joes, a typical american food! At the super market I was going to get hamburger meat and ran into a kid who is here from Germany who I know from AFS and was on my bus here, so we both shared our struggles about the language and it was refreshing to hear im not the only one feeling lost! Yesterday we also went to Pedro's for his birthday with some neighbors and there was a little boy who kept giving me kisses on the cheek, it was so cute hahaha. The people are so nice and inviting and they want to know more about you and learn about your culture too. For example in the library with the computers yesterday I showed them an example of a math problem and explained the difference in the measurement system. I think it will get much better once I am in school and are busy most of the day, because now it is vacation here so we relax and talk alot and its hard with the language! I am not sure what we are doing today, but we just eat breakfast and I did some laundry and hung the clothes out on the line and saw that their dog had puppies and they are so cute, but here the dogs dont come inside they stay out and I dont know whether I am supposed to pet them or not! I think we may go to the moms work today and then I am not sure! Hope everyone at home is doing well and I miss you all ! I will post pictures of the town, etc. Adios !
